What part did Humphrey Repton play in the changing fashions of gardens, including Hylands park, from Rococo gardens of the mid-18th century and Capability Brown’s landscaped park revolution through to the picturesque and then gardenesque styles of the 19th century?

The Friends of Hylands House invite you to join them for Alison Woollard’s talk in the Banqueting Room. Tea and coffee will be available from 2.30pm after the Friends Annual General Meeting and the talk will begin at 3pm.

There will be a small charge of £5 payable on arrival.

Please email Berry Cornell on mayberrynotes@outlook.com  to let the Friends know you are coming.

Parking is free for this event. Please park in the main car park nearest to Hylands House. Do not pay for parking at the machines as we cannot refund. Please enter your car registration number at the reception desk in the House when you arrive.
