Hylands House is available to hire throughout the year for filming locations and photo shoots. The beautiful neo-classic exterior and sumptuous range of interiors make a stunning backdrop for both small and large scale projects. We strive to offer a professional and flexible approach to achieving your vision. In recent years, the house has been used as a filming location for a range of productions, including ‘Chasing Liberty’, a feature film produced in association with Warner Brothers; ‘Daphne’, a BBC drama documentary about the life of Daphne du Maurier, and ‘Time of her Life’, a short film by a local director which was presented at the Cannes Film Festival. The interior of the house has even doubled as the Vatican in an episode of ‘Little Britain Abroad’. The house has also featured as a backdrop for a number of photo shoots, most recently for Britain’s Next Top Model hosted by Abbie Clancy, and the brand new Range Rover Kahn RS 600. It has also featured in shoots for bridal fashions and student photography projects.
Fees and charges for using the house or park as a filming or photo location are negotiated on an individual basis, and will depend on whether the shoot is interior or exterior, the length of time required, and the nature of the project.
